Metal Tooling Project (ALT ASSIGNMENT)

Sadly, my original bronze sheet was lost; however, Ms. Rojas gave me the opportunity to come back from this and submit my original sketch to what I was working on. The idea arose when I saw a snake slithering through the skull of a cow; however, I gave this one a twist and decided to do a human skull for fun and aesthetic purposes.

Animal Morphing Project

In my homeland, there are many coyotes that roam around the farms especially looking for food although my personality may not fit that of a coyote, I believe it does represent my roots. I wish to visit Mexico for the first time, and hopefully that will be soon.

Challenge Piece

I previously stated in a previous blog post that I was going to go for something nature themed. Its still in the early stages; however, it's coming along. Inspiration came from Helwyr from "Runescape" and Celtic Gods especially Skadi or Freya.

Yes, I'm aware that it looks very crude but the resolution keeps on getting reduced.

5-resources

So,  for this project we have the choice to either pick 5 resources either that or just contest in one of the contests; however, I decided to go with a Spring friendly theme because its approaching fast.

- Contains a female
- Contains aspects of a new "awakening" (Which in this case is Spring)
-Utilizes the traditional materials of color pencils or watercolors (I've gotten pretty rusty at them so...)
-The top right pictures gives me an idea for the pose I'm going for in which that case I'd like to give a lot of detail and attention to the eyes and focus on "terramorphing" it.
-I'd of course start off in graphite and I have to at least have one tree in my drawing.
-I believe this is going to be a big project, so I'll most likely be using a big sheet of paper. (This is prior to change due to time constraints and other artwork related projects being due around the same time).

Reflective Object

For this project I was unsure of what to do since we weren't allowed to use a mirror or picture of the reflective object, so instead I rummaged around the reflective objects bin and found a nice iron which reflected decently despite giving a distortion to my image; however, I could work with it. I believe it could have used better shading, but I'll most likely go back and work on it again. This was honestly a fun project and spent a lot more time than the previous ones.
