10 Drawings

      For this project we had to replicate drawings from life. I decide to try pastels more this year instead of my usual drawing material like pencils and color pencils, but i drew objects ranging from fruits to shoes.

White Chalk & Charcoal Project

     When originally trying to create this piece of artwork, I stood there blankly wondering about all the possible ideas I could sketch and reinforce onto black sheet of blank paper. I had ideas ranging from Mexican Candy Skulls to Toxic Wastelands; however, that is when it hit me, I am a fan of cosplay and anime, and I had a picture of my friend in which she cosplayed "Saber" from Fate/ Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works from then on I decided to do a portrait of her cosplay in my own style.

Perspective Drawing

     This project was definitely one of my more favorite ones. I decided right away that I wanted to do a 3 point perspective scene just because I've done 1 point and 2 point perspective in the past, and I was really looking forward to making a more advance piece. While this piece came out somewhat to my liking.. it wasn't easy honestly. It wasn't hard but instead very tedious because I would get these weird angles and it would throw me off often, and I would have to be careful often not to mess up and not do a correct point alignment; nevertheless, this was definitely a piece I'd like to redo or try again in the future.

 

Self Portrait Observation

     When deciding to create this piece, I had one thing in mind, and that was "huh.. I should really try doing something cool.. something that has a royal theme to it"; however, there's a reason I put "try" in bold is that it came out nothing like I wanted it to be. The sketch and ink part was great, but once I got to the coloring part with the color pencils it was atrocious, but overall I enjoyed this project. *Note to self* Practice more with color pencils and use less Gamsol

Collage Project

     When originally brainstorming an idea for this project I had so many ideas pouring into my head; however, I also found myself in a stump. Okay, so, it's my senior year and I'm sitting there at the table confused out of my mind on what to do because I thought it was Drawing II class, and I'm just wondering what to do with a collage projects because I really hate working with projects like that; however, I prevailed and thought of something simple to do which in this case was this soda can with the name "Squirt" on it.
